Performance and Handling
The Jeep Renegade has two different engines under its hood. You can keep the base engine, which is a four-cylinder engine with a 2.4-liter capacity capable of 180-horsepower and up to 175 pound-feet of torque, or you can upgrade to a more powerful engine by upgrading in trim level. The second engine is available, starting with the Jeep Renegade Limited. The engine in the Jeep Renegade Limited is a turbocharged four-cylinder with a 1.3-liter displacement. The engine that powers the Jeep Renegade Limited can produce a maximum of 177-horsepower, and it delivers up to 210 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel drive comes standard with the Limited. You can also get an advanced four-wheel drive with low-range settings beginning with the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. Both engines use an automatic nine-speed transmission.
Interior and Technology
The Jeep Renegade also has a standout interior with several enjoyable features dual-zone climate control as a standard amenity. It also has smartphone pairing and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. On the technology front, the Jeep Renegade has a 7-inch touchscreen interface with user-friendly features.
